i would just do some loose curls then spray with hairspray

you wrap large sections of your hair starting about halfway down the strands around the barrell of a curling iron. curling your hair around the barrell will make curls stay in every type of hair, no joke. half the time you dont even need hairspray. after doing all your hair fuss it up with your fingers, or use a waxy pomade to make it messy-ish.
ps. if you look at my 360 profile you can kinda see what a looks like to wrap your hair around the curling iron, except in my picture i started at the crown.
try braiding it after you take a shower, but not too tight, you know, loose braids
try to find a good hairdresser nearby and print out that picture
ask about it and see what you’ll need etc.

Looks like loose curls.
put in some moose when ur hair is towel dry, and then blow dry so ur hair is about 80% dry, then put some curlers in ur hair… Just finger it until it;s right.. HAIR SPRAY… use hair spray so it dun come out, and DO NOT BRUSH… Pray it dun rain
what you do is get moose then bend over and fluff your hair if you don’t have moose(this wont hold as long as moose but it will work) do the same thing but with water!!
When your hair is wet your should make a straight part. Then put in a gel and scrunch it. Blow dry on low. Use a one inch curling iron if needed(hold the curling iron straight not to the side.) Hair spray all over your hair. Use a good hairspray.
